Deer Run is a quiet and affordable neighborhood located in the Brices Creek area. Most of the homes here were built in the 1990's so while they are not new they are generally in good condition. Homes here, unlike most newer neighborhoods, have nice size lots, 1/2-2/3 acre. Deer run works well for working families that want a larger lot, but there are some retirees here as well. It is close enough to Cherry Point and or Camp LeJuene to work well for military families.

Deer Run has a Community Park that is open to all residents. The park has a covered picnic area, full court basketball court, and a tennis court. Great for kids or adults.

  • Deer Run is on the Craven County water system with average water bill of around $22 a month.

  • Deer Run is on Progress Energy, which is about 30% less than the City of New Bern power rates.

  • Deer Run is only 1/2 mile from 160,000 acres pf The Croatan National Forest.

  • Deer Run is within a mile or so from Brices Creek, a deep body body of water great for boating and fishing. There are 2 boat launches nearby on Brices Creek.

  • Deer Run is only 15 minutes from the Creekside Park, which offers walking trails, fishing pier, picnic shelters, canoe, kayak rentals, and football, baseball, and soccer athletic fields.

  • Deer Run is a great location. Only 10 minutes to New Bern and 23 minutes or so to the back gate of Cherry Point.

Add all this up and you will see why Deer Run is such a great place to call home.
